Who are Prolificators? According to the New York-based duo, everything you need to know about the band and its members is in their sound. They’ve poured their combined decades of experience into stream-of-consciousness electronic recordings with colorful and curious titles such as “Phaw,” “Syncope,” and “Aqua ality.” “What really tickles us is words that don’t actually exist, but sound like they do,” says Olav Christensen. “We just feed off each other: Rob says something, I say something back, Rob counters—it’s like very fast brainstorming that starts and ends with laughing.” Though the collaborators seem infinitely close, it was only 3 years ago that Olav Christensen
and Rob Vonderheide connected on Instagram and decided to meet up.
